Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly tag hosted by Bionic Book Worm! Please head over and check out her blog!
This week’s topic is the top 5 books that I need to read in 2019!! I wasn’t sure if this means books that are coming out this year, or books that have been in my TBR for a long time that I’m finally gonna read, so I just included both! I’m trying to avoid repeating books on these lists, so there are some books that I’m REALLY looking forward to this year that are not going to be on it (You probably already know what they are.) Click below to see which books I did include!
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
I have been seeing this one everywhere recently! It sounds SO good! I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on it!! I really love that it takes place in the 1800s, as that’s my favorite century to read from.
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn
I’ve had this one on hold at the library for months and I’m still 30th in queue for it… Maybe I’ll be able to read it this year? I really hope so!
Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale by Holly Black
I’ve only ever read The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. *GASP* I know! It’s almost sad. I plan on rectifying that this year. I think this is the next one I’ll read by her! I’m really excited!
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara
I’ve been into more non-fiction lately and this is one that I keep gravitating to! I’m just waiting to find a used copy that’s a bit cheaper than buying it brand new. I can’t wait to read it! I’ve heard really good things about this one too!
The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed
This has been recommended to me a lot. I’ve mostly been putting it off because of the heavy content in it, but I really do want to read it sometime this year. I just need to make sure I’m in the right mindset for it.
Do our lists resemble each other at all? I’d love to know below!!!
I am so excited for Gilded Wolves! Great list and happy reading! ❤

Sam I would be with you about Holly Black’s book! I love how she writes characters in shades of grey!

I’ve actually never read anything by Roshani Chokshi! Do you recommend any in particular?

Definitely The Star-Touched Queen duology! Technically not a duology but they do correlate. My absolute favorite from her is A Crown of Wishes which is the companion novel to The Star-Touched Queen!
