The 20 Questions Book Tag

imageedit_1_3859218969I usually post Top 5 Tuesday on Tuesdays, but this week’s topic is one that I can’t really do. So instead, I’m posting the 20 Questions Book Tag! I’ve seen several blogs do this tag and it looked like fun, so I decided to do it. I wasn’t tagged by anyone, and I’m not sure who originated the tag. If you know, please comment below so I can give them proper credit!

1. How many books is too many books in a book series?

It really depends on the book for me. I generally like 3/4 book series the best, but some of my favorite series have been longer. (Harry Potter, Vampire Academy, Percy Jackson, etc.)

2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?

Hate them.. I get that they’re there to make you want to read the next book, but man do they annoy me. The only time they don’t bother me is if I already have to next book. That rarely happens though.

3. Hardcopy or paperback?

Paperback! I do love hardbacks, but they are a bit too expensive and are harder to carry around.

4. Favorite book?

I feel like this question should be illegal to ask a bookworm. I honestly can’t give an answer. I love way too many. I do have a favorites shelf of Goodreads though if you wanna check that out.

5. Least favorite book?

Maybe Animal Farm? I had to read it in high school and I dreaded every second of it.

6. Love triangles, yes or no?

No!! They drive me insane. They’re usually completely unnecessary and very rarely end in a way that pleases me.

7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

Sea Witch by Sarah Henning

8. A book you’re currently reading?

The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain

9. Last book you recommended to someone?

I recommended The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L Armentrout to my sister.

10. Oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

I read Beowulf for a lit class? Does that count?

11. Newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

I finished an ARC of Brave Enough by Kati Gardner last week. It’s set to be published on August 21st!

12. Favorite author?

This is a hard question for me because I very rarely love/read all the books an author puts out. But based on how many books I’ve read from a single author, I would say Colleen Hoover. She’s also pretty much the only author that can get me to read new adult.

13. Buying books or borrowing books?

Buying when I can afford it, but I borrow more than I buy.

14. A book you dislike that everyone else seem to love?

Caraval! I didn’t hate it, it just didn’t catch my interest. It’s disappointing because everyone seems to love it!

15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?

Bookmarks! I’m someone who highlights and underlines in books and writes in the margins, but I can’t bring myself to dog-ear.

16. A book you can always reread?

I always end up rereading the Vampire Academy/Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead. They’re my comfort reads.

17. Can you read while hearing music?

Nope! I get too distracted by music so the only time I can listen to it is in the car! I also can’t have the tv on in the background while I read.

18. One POV or multiple POV’s? (POV’s = Point of views)

One, but I do enjoy multiple if it’s done well!

19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

Usually over multiple days, unless it REALLY catches my interest. Then I’ll read it in one sitting.

20. A book you read because of the cover?

I do this all the time because I’m one of those pesky readers who 100% judges a book by it’s cover. The most recent one would probably be The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw.

I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you want to do it you can say I tagged you!!

  1. I love reading this tag – I love seeing the different types of books people have read/are reading and their habits! 😊 I’m also one of those readers that judges a book because of its cover. The Wicked Deep does have a really pretty cover.
